What is the difference between botox, JEUVEAU and xeomin and Dysport ?
All four are neuromodulators that relax the muscles but the difference between them lies in their specific formulation. Botox uses onabotulinumtoxinA; Dysport uses abobotulinumtoxinA; Xeomin uses incobotulinumtoxinA; and Jeuveau uses botulinum toxin type A. They all work in similar ways and last about the same amount of time. Jeuveau, aka Newtox, is the newest neuromodulator to get FDA approval for cosmetic purposes exclusively. Xeomin doesn't have any additives and is considered the purest. You are also less likely to build up resistance to Xeomin since it is a "naked" protein. Xeomin produces a softer more natural movement. Both Botox and Xeomin are used for therapeutics as well as cosmetic purposes. Dysport is slightly different than the other three neuromodulators when it comes to units and dosing which is why you may see it advertised quite a bit less at other places. All four are great products but the key is too find out which one works best for YOU.
